Egypt released the map of the first phase of industrial lands offered for investment, said the Industrial Development Authority (IDA) head Magdy Ghazy .
The lands are divided into 2,050 lots, spread over 5.2 million square metres. Ghazy explained that the lands are located in 13 zones spurred across Egypt. The zones include Sadat City with 1,076 lots over 2.3 million square metres; Qena with 374 lots over 600,000 square metres; 10 Ramadan City with 359 lots over 190,000 square metres; Qantara Sharqiya with 45 lots over 40,000 square metres; New Borg El-Arab with 43 lots over 134 square metres; El-Mahalla El-Kubra with 42 lots over 33,000 square metres; and Minya with 26 lots over 26,000 square metres. The offered lands, according to Ghazy, cover 1,510 investment opportunities in the engineering, chemical, textile, metal, pharmaceutical, food and mining industries. Ghazy invited local and foreign industrial investors and entrepreneurs to access the industrial land map, released online this week, adding that the work statement would be available until 28 October. Registration closes on 29 November. |
