Egypt and Belarus have inked a number of cooperation protocols to develop joint trade relations, said Trade and Industry Minister Mounir Fahkry Abdel-Nour in a statement on 19/09/2014.
After four days of talks in Minsk the Belarusian capital, and after the second round of bilateral talks, a joint trade committee has approved the protocols that are regarded as a start of a new stage of economic relations between the two countries. It paves the way for the establishment of a free trade zone with the Eurasian Economic Union, said the Minister. Egypt is keen on boosting economic ties with markets of the Eurasian Economic Union, he said. For his part, Belarusian Minister of Trade Valentin Chekanov asserted his country's interest in expanding trade exchange with Egypt. |
